If you are looking for an unreal game, then you have come to the right place. This right of passage was spawned from the Chinese Checkers family in a tiny town called Wausau, Wisconsin. As you read on, you will see why. "You're welcome" in advance, for introducing you to this life-altering experience. Materials Needed:Beer, 2 ping pong balls, Round Table, Cups (preferably Solo), Water, Friends and Family (Minimum of 4 Players)Set Up and Play:1. Each player grabs 7 cups and encircles the table2. Each player places their 7 cups directly in front of them in a triangular formation with the point of the triangle facing the center of the table.3. Each person then fills their cups with beer (1 beer per 7 cups per person is a good baseline)4. Place a single cup at the center of the table and fill it with a full beer (If at any point during the game, someone throws a ball in this cup, they have to instantly drink the entire cup/beer)5. Fill several additional cups with water but do not place them on the table. These will be used to clean off the ping pong balls before each shot.6. Each person stands next to the table at the base of their triangle of cups and then takes 2 honest steps backwards. This will be your playing position for this game.7. Determine who will be the first player to shoot.8. Give one ball to the first player, and the other ball to the person directly to the left.9. The first player can now shoot. He/she throws the ball towards the table in beer-pongesque fashion. If the ball lands in someone's cup, bounces on the table and lands in someone's cup, or knocks a cup off of the table, then the person whose cup was affected must drink that cup and remove it from the table.10. Once the first player is done shooting, the person to the left will go, and so on in clockwise fashion.11. Once all of your 7 cups have been removed from the table, you are out of the game and can no longer shoot, pending the outcome of your "Shot at Redemption."Shot at Redemption = When your last cup has been eliminated, both ping pong balls are given to you for your shot at redemption. You get the chance to shoot both balls (individually). If you make both shots, then you are back in the game and get three new cups that are placed in a line formation in front of you (and those whose cups were hit must remove them from the table). If during your shot at redemption, you make 1 of the 2 shots, that one shot counts against the person whose cup you hit; however, you are officially eliminated from the game for good. If you make 0 of your 2 shots at redemption, then you are out of the game.12. The game is over when only one person remains. Once only 2 people remain at the table, they will engage in the "Lightning Round."Lightning Round = Each player gets one of the balls and that is the only ball they can shoot. There is a countdown by the already-eliminated players and then the shooting begins. You can shoot from any angle as long as you adhere to the "honest" 2 steps away from the table position. You continue shooting until only one person has any cups remaining at the table. That person is the winner!13. Any cups remaining at the table at the end will be consumed by the first person who was eliminated from the game.14. Then you rearrange your shooting position at the table so that you have different people to your left and right, and play again!Penalties/Further Explanations: a. If your cup is knocked down during the game, it counts as if your cup was made. Remove it from the table.b. If you shoot out of turn, it is a one-cup penaltyc. If one of your cups is made, you must drink it before you shoot your next shot. If not, it is a one-cup penalty.d.Unlike beer pong, if a ball bounces on the table and then falls into someone's cup, that person does not have to drink 2 cups. They only have to drink/remove the cup that the ball fell into.e.There is no blowing a ball out of a cup like in beer pong, and you cannot block a shot from someone else. As long as the ball is bouncing on the table, it is still live. It is only dead once it falls on the floor or stops bouncing.f. There are no reracks in Ukrainian dice. You play it as they lie. |
